Man City fan mocks Arsenal during title celebrations outside Etihad Stadium
After successfully securing the Premier League title, Manchester City witnessed a relatively modest presence of fans outside the Etihad Stadium. During this gathering, a supporter seized the moment to take a playful jab at Arsenal.
Manchester City’s status as the Premier League champions was officially confirmed with three games remaining, as Arsenal endured a 1-0 loss against Nottingham Forest.
Arsenal has faced criticism for “bottling” their lead in the Premier League over the past few weeks, as their eight-point advantage at the start of April has been entirely erased by Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.
In their last eight matches, Arsenal managed to secure only nine points out of a potential 24, while City achieved a remarkable 11 consecutive victories, allowing them to establish a significant gap ahead of their title competitors.
Amid the celebrations outside the Etihad Stadium on Saturday evening, a particular fan made a playful gesture by bringing along a bottle marked with the word “Arsenal” on it.
Manchester City, who have emerged victorious in five out of the last six seasons, are scheduled to face Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon. A potential victory in this match could widen the gap between City and Arsenal to seven points, considering that Arsenal has played two more games than City at this stage.
