Liverpool set out two conditions for Sadio Mane to finalise Bayern Munich move
As Liverpool striker Sadio Mane is linked with a move to Bayern Munich, Jurgen Klopp’s team has laid down two conditions that must be completed before they will authorise a sale.
While Bayern Munich has not made an official proposal, the Senegalese international is expected to inform Liverpool of his wish to leave the club this summer.
According to GOAL, two conditions must be completed before Liverpool will allow Mane to leave the club this summer.
According to reports, the Reds will expect far more than the £25 million asking price, and they would need to have a replacement lined up in order to sell the 30-year-old.
Mane, like Mohamed Salah, has only one year left on his Liverpool contract and has already indicated he will play at Anfield next season.
Mane, on the other hand, hinted at a decision on his future before of Liverpool’s 1-0 loss to Real Madrid in the Champions League final.
Before the final in Paris, Mane informed reporters that he would inform them of his future after the match. The Senegal star said:
“Honestly I think the answer I can give you now is I feel very good, and I am fully focused on the Saturday game, that is the answer I must give before the final. But come back to me on Saturday and I will give you the best answer you want to hear, for sure. It’s special. I will give you all you want to hear then.
“Saturday come back and I will give you the answer I promise, but for now let’s go win it because I have no time for other things. I will do everything possible to win it because it is my and all the boys’ biggest dream, then I will give you the answers.”
Mane has been mentioned as a potential successor for Robert Lewandowski at Bayern Munich, as the Polish striker has a year left on his contract and is reportedly hoping to join Barcelona this summer.
If the Champions League final was Mane’s final game at Liverpool, he would be dissatisfied with how his story ended, as he was spotted throughout the game having an angry conversion with club captain Jordan Henderson.
Despite losing his final game with Liverpool, he had a fantastic time at the club. He has 120 goals in 269 games for the Reds in all competitions, including 90 in 196 Premier League outings.
Since joining the club from Southampton in a £34 million transfer in 2016, he has won the Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup, UEFA Super Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup.
