Liverpool player Mohamed Salah’s four-word message to Harry Kane after the season closes.

Liverpool might have had the will-o’-the-wisp final day to the Premier League season as a victory over Crystal Palace saw them qualify for the Champions League, with results elsewhere delivering them a third-place finish, but it could have gone even better for Egyptian Mohamed Salah.
Salah started the day level with Harry Kane in the chase for the Golden Boot on 22 goals as both forwards seemed to win the accolade for the third time.
But while the Reds’ number 11 did provide an assist for Sadio Mane, he failed to add to his tally against the Eagles as the England captain’s strike against Leicester City saw him lift the prize.
Salah and Kane have a past when it comes to fighting for the Golden Boot, with the latter creating debate when tracking down the latter for the prize back in 2017/18.

Mohamed Salah would end his maiden season with the club as the top-flight’s leading goalscorer with a record-breaking 32 goals.
Kane closed behind him on 30 goals, but created controversy when strongly lobbying to the Premier League to have one goal taken off teammate Christian Eriksen and awarded to him in April 2018, claiming Dane’s strike had taken the most feint glances off him on its way into the goal.
The Egyptian then led the Reds ridiculing of the judgment on social media as he tweeted: “Wooooooow really?”
After missing out on this year’s Golden Boot, the 28-year-old took to Twitter again but this time it was to salute his Spurs counterpart.
“Very well deserved! Congratulations!” he wrote in response to Kane’s own celebratory post.

Sunday’s victory over Leicester could point Kane’s last impression for Tottenham with the striker reportedly ardent to move on in search of silverware.
And should he remain in the Premier League, he will once again battle with Salah to match the English top-flight’s leading marksman.
