Liverpool missing 5 players for FA Cup Semi-Final clash vs Manchester City
Liverpool meet Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-finals Wednesday, hoping to keep their quadruple challenge alive.
Unfortunately, the Reds will be missing five players from their squad due to FA and UEFA rules.
Following last week’s Premier League match with Manchester City, the Reds remain one point behind their title rivals. Both teams reunite once more as they quest for a quadruple and a treble, respectively.
Squad depth will be challenged in the coming months, and both managers must retain as many players fit as possible for the duration.
Due to a difference rule between the FA and UEFA, both teams will be limited to seven substitutes rather than the twelve allowed in the Champions League.
Jurgen Klopp’s first major decision in the game will be which players he believes he can rely on if necessary.
Due to the five fewer subs, players such as Harvey Elliot and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain may be unable to play at Wembley.
