Liverpool ‘make Kylian Mbappe transfer enquiry’ with a possible swap arrangement.
Liverpool have made an enquiry about the availability of France and PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe.
The Frenchman has been massively connected with a move to Real Madrid this summer, but as deal talks with his current club continue to deteriorate, Jurgen Klopp’s side are ostensibly placing themselves for a move.
The dominating factor in Mbappe’s position is his contract with PSG which is set to lapse next summer.
Having signed the youngster for a huge £163million fee, the possibility of losing one of the world’s most talented forwards for free would be a huge financial blow for the Ligue 1 runners-up.
Discussions between player and club over a new deal have been ongoing, although an announcement one way or the other does not seem imminent.
The player has suggested at a possible exit from France in recent weeks after seeming to avoid topics about his future when questioned.
A report from Marca hints that Liverpool’s inquiry for Mbappe is a move primarily borne out of ambition rather than expectation, as they know competition for the 22-year-old will be remarkably intense.

The widely held view is that the player sees his destiny at Real Madrid.
However, with cash remarkably tight at the moment for Los Blancos, it is not obvious as to whether they could feasibly bring him in this summer.
The report also implies that Liverpool could put Sadio Mane or Mo Salah on the table if it would make PSG more amenable to negotiations.
Generally, swapping one goal-scoring winger for another goal-scoring winger in a player-plus-cash agreement would take much of the pressing risk out of allowing Mbappe go for the French side.
With Salah and Mane both nearing their 30th birthdays, their transfer prices are set to decline from window to window so if a shake-up is required, now may be the time for Liverpool to try their luck.
Bringing Mbappe to Merseyside would be some success, although it would spell the end for the famed attacking trio of Salah, Mane, and Roberto Firmino.
Liverpool have now been actively scouring the transfer market for an all-action midfielder with Gini Wijnaldum set to join Mbappe at PSG before the commencement of next season.
The Frenchman may or may not have his heart set on coming to Anfield, but the club cannot be criticized in terms of ambition when it comes to their freshest move.
