It is now emerging that Lionel Messi is a big admirer of three players in Thomas Tuchel’s team. Messi even tipped three Chelsea players for stardom.

Chelsea has never run short of talents with the club always having young prospects arising from the club’s academy system. The Blues squad is packed with amazing talent, some of whom will rise to achieve star-studded careers to the very top world football level.

Chelsea has been able to splash a reasonable amount of funds to acquire players such as Kai Havertz and Christian Pulisic. Academy graduates with the likes of Mason Mount and Recee James come in handy when you think about the talents in the squad and what they can achieve in the coming few seasons as far as football achievements are concerned.

The Barcelona and Argentina international star Lionel Messi is regarded as one of the best players the world has ever produced. Messi has tipped three of the young talents in the Chelsea team as players who are within his ranks, terming them as players who are destined for the very, very top.

Last year, Messi compiled a list of 15 youngsters to watch for the top-level achievements in what is known as the ‘Lionel Messi Designed Set’ card pack. The list contained big names including Mbappe and City’s Phil Foden. Also, players who made a cut include Chelsea’s Mount, Pulisic and Havertz.

Messi was full of praise for the three players. On Mount, he said: “Having watched him play he has the potential to be one of the best.”

Speaking on Pulisic, he said: “He has great balance and agility.” On Kai, who was still on the books of Chelsea while playing for Leverkusen, “His composure in front of goal is so impressive for such a young player.”

Thiago Silva is lucky to play football. He survived a death scare and almost gave up at 21 years.

Signing Haaland could be a “disaster.” Chelsea warned.
