Leicester respond to new Arsenal players-plus-cash offer for Maddison
Leicester City have knocked back a fresh Arsenal players-plus-cash bid for James Maddison, Football Insider can exclusively report.
The Gunners have submitted the Reiss Nelson and Ainsley Maitland-Niles as part of a new package as they try to entice the Foxes playmaker this month.
But a Leicester source has told Football Insider the club have no interest in the players Arsenal have offered in part-exchange.
The Gunners have upped their interest in Maddison, 24, this week after making him a top target to add creativity to their team.
Leicester values their star man at more than £70million, which makes a deal hard to agree.

Arsenal have proposed a number of players in part exchange and the latest makeweights are attacker Nelson and talented midfielder Maitland-Niles.
Both players are available for transfer this summer as Mikel Arteta continues to reshape his squad.
Maddison has been targeted for his established Premier League pedigree as well as his ability to create opportunities from tight spaces.
It remains to be seen if he will look to engineer a departure ahead of the 31 August cut-off in the same way as Harry Kane has done at Tottenham.
He has prospered during his three years at the King Power Stadium and was a key player in the side that won last season’s FA Cup.
Maddison’s 118 Leicester games have produced 27 goals and 20 assists.
That included 11 goals and 10 assists from 42 matches in all games last term, when Leicester also finished fifth in the Premier League.
