Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi ‘push’ for Man City player to join them at PSG after ‘rule breaches’

Several aspects of Manchester City’s future are uncertain after the Premier League accused the club of 115 violations of financial regulations.

On the field, however, Bernardo Silva continues to be a question mark due to persistent rumors that he is actively seeking to leave England.

Silva was heavily linked with a departure prior to the season, as Barcelona attempted to sign him as a potential replacement for Frenkie de Jong.

The transfer did not occur, and he is currently in the middle of his sixth season at the Etihad Stadium.

Benfica are also rumored to be interested in bringing him back to Lisbon this summer, while Barcelona are rumored to be re-entering the race.

However, Paris Saint-Germain has emerged as a potential frontrunner to add Silva to its roster of world-class attackers.

Le10 Sport reports that PSG are attempting to add the 28-year-old to their roster alongside Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi, and Neymar.

The report indicates that Mbappe, Silva’s teammate at AS Monaco, and sporting director Luis Campos are interested in signing him at the end of the season.

Silva is under contract with City until 2025, so the Premier League champions are under no obligation to sell.

The Citizens have placed a £70 million price tag on the playmaker, emphasizing that they will not sell him for less.

Benfica’s record transfer was worth less than £40 million, whereas such a price tag would rule out Barcelona unless they sell for a large sum.

PSG are in the best financial position, but Pep Guardiola demonstrated with Joao Cancelo’s January departure that he is willing to let a player go if they are not fully committed to the team.

Silva admitted uncertainty about his future with City last summer, claiming he did not know what would happen before the transfer deadline, but the club ‘knew what he wanted.’

He said: “I’ve always said that I’m happy here, but I have no idea what’s going to happen. We’ll see, honestly.

“My relationship with the club is very honest. I’ve been open with them and they know what I want.

“If I stay, I’ll be very happy, and I will always respect this club and give my best. If not, it’s football, and we’ll just see what happens.”
