Kevin de Bruyne cruelly mocks Arsenal fans after being pelted by plastic glasses
Kevin de Bruyne took a playful jab at Arsenal supporters after bottles and plastic glasses were thrown at the Manchester City midfielder during his team’s victory at the Emirates.
Following a first-half error by Takehiro Tomiyasu, the Belgian international opened the scoring on Wednesday with a superbly executed shot.
While Arsenal equalized through a penalty kick scored by Bukayo Saka, City seized control in the second half as Jack Grealish restored the lead after 72 minutes.
10 minutes later, de Bruyne was involved again, driving into the Arsenal box before cutting back for Erling Haaland to seal the 3-1 victory that propelled Pep Guardiola’s side to the top of the Premier League table.
De Bruyne was replaced by Kalvin Phillips with three minutes remaining in the match, and Arsenal supporters targeted him by throwing bottles and glasses in his direction.
The midfielder swerved to avoid being struck by the ball as he walked around the field, smiling at the home fans.
De Bruyne made light of the incident while City was celebrating a monumental victory by posting images of a glass heading his way with the captions “Beer anyone?” and “Thanks!”

While City’s victory vaults them to the top of the English Premier League, Arsenal still has a game in hand, with the two rivals set to meet at the Etihad Stadium in April
“If they win the game in hand they are top of the league,” Guardiola said post-match.
“What they have done is incredible and we are still there. This league will be decided for the last eight or 10 games.
“There are 15 to go. It is a lot and the Champions League is coming. Many games and tiring for the players.
“It is important that we are here because six points if we lose and maybe nine points hypothetically, it is not easy.
“Especially for the way we behave in the second half, with a lot of personality to do it.”
