Juventus set new record after Argentina’s World cup heroics in Qatar

Prior to the commencement of Qatar 2022, Juventus was already the club with the most World Cup winners in tournament history.

The Bianconeri have produced 25 World Cup champions, with Blaise Matuidi lifting the cup with France in Russia in 2018.

On Sunday, the Old Lady increased its record to 27 courtesy to Angel Di Maria and Leandro Paredes, members of the Argentine squad who dethroned Les Bleus after a dramatic match.

The winger was one of the top players on the field and scored the second goal for Argentina. The midfielder entered the game in extra time and assisted his team in preserving control.

Although the former PSG duo have yet to win over the black and white fans after a lackluster first half of the season, they assisted the club in extending their record to 27 World Cup winners, surpassing Bayern Munich (24).

Former Juventus players Paulo Dybala and Cristian Romero were members of Lionel Scaloni’s squad, but only current players are considered.

Here is Football Italia’s most recent list of Juventus’s World Cup champions:
