Juventus issues response to latest Matthijs de Ligt Chelsea proposal as Jules Kounde hope rekindled
Chelsea’s summer transfer window has yet to produce any new signings as pre-season has begun at Cobham.
The Blues have a transfer budget of more over £200 million, which will allow Thomas Tuchel to sign at least six players this summer.
However, it appears that departures have been the rule of the day thus far, with Romelu Lukaku’s departure being the only one of note, with the early defensive exodus.
While their rivals, particularly Tottenham, have strengthened tremendously this summer, interim sporting director Todd Boehly has stayed quiet, with the first signing, Raheem Sterling, due to arrive soon.

Juventus response to latest Matthijs de Ligt Chelsea proposal
As another week of de Ligt negotiations approaches, it is expected that Juventus would reject Chelsea’s second offer for the Dutchman.
According to Corriere dello Sport and other Italian newspapers, the Turin club is poised to reject an outright offer of up to £67 million without players.
According to other sources, despite Juventus’ interest in several Chelsea players, including Jorginho, Timo Werner, and Christian Pulisic, the club wants a straight cash deal for the 22-year-old and will negotiate separately for the aforementioned trio.
Jules Kounde hope rekindled
Whether or if the Frenchman signs a contract with Chelsea has never been in doubt, especially during the reign of Roman Abramovich.
Todd Boehly’s focus has shifted since selling the club, with de Ligt and Ake coming to mind.
The latest Spanish sources said that talks between Sevilla and the Blues to sell the 5′ 8″ centre-half had broken down, but Diario AS claims that all is not lost.
According to Sport Witness, despite the fact that the last round of discussions has “not yet yielded positive results,” a compromise from the Andalusians is still possible, as they need the money to comply with La Liga standards.
Hakim Ziyech offer readied
According to Football Italia, AC Milan could offer £22 million to recruit the Moroccan this summer in response to their city rivals’ loan signing of Romelu Lukaku.
Ziyech, who was quite happy in the first few days of Chelsea’s pre-season, is anticipated to leave this summer to make room for Sterling and other potential newcomers.
Stefano Pioli’s team is also considering Marco Asensio if they are unable to reach an agreement with the current World Champions for the 29-year-old.
