Jurgen Klopp provides Liverpool with an alarming injury update
Thiago will be out until after the next international break in October, according to Jurgen Klopp’s latest press conference.
The Reds travel to Brentford in the Premier League this weekend for the first time since the league’s rebranding in 1992, and it will be an interesting experience for Jurgen Klopp’s men.
It’s one we hope will be positive as well, but Thiago will be absent, and it appears that he will be absent again when the game against Manchester City comes around at the beginning of October:

“It’s a muscle in the calf. It is not 100% clear when he will back. After the international break probably. I don’t think it will be any earlier.” 🔴 pic.twitter.com/ICkNJVaHtS
It would be easy to say that this is why we needed an extra midfielder after Gini Wijnaldum left, but there isn’t much point in dwelling on that fact.
There are still a number of top players available for Liverpool this weekend, and they will be hoping to get the job done.
