Jurgen Klopp names first four 'transfers' of the summer window.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has noted Liverpool’s first four “transfers” of the season window as the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic rage on.

Klopp has named Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez, Joel Matip, and Jordan Henderson’s injury boost as the club’s first ‘transfers’ of the summer window.

Transfer dealings will be expected to be different once again ahead of the 2021/22 season following a whole campaign of empty stadiums and lost income.

Despite the obvious complications, many large moves have been touted for Europe’s most outstanding stars this summer.

Jadon Sancho, Erling Haaland, and Kylian Mbappe have all been associated with a switch to the Premier League – and especially Liverpool.

Klopp has played down the Reds’ transfer abilities over the next four months and has instead concentrated on boosts in his ranks.

The German boss has asserted that Liverpool will be strengthened by returning absentees they’ve so greatly missed this season, whatever happens on the transfer front.

He said: “Getting the injured players back makes us already better. These are our first transfers.”

Last season’s Premier League champions have been barraged with injuries to significant stalwarts throughout the 21/22 campaign.

Klopp was assuredly referring to Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez, Joel Matip, and Jordan Henderson in his recent remarks.

The important Liverpool foursome has missed a combined total of over 20 months of action this season, contributing to the club’s failed first title defense in 31 years.

When reviewing the summer market, Klopp recognized that a failure to qualify for Europe’s elite competition wouldn’t help matters on the transfer front.

“If we don’t play in the Champions League, that wouldn’t help obviously, but it is not our biggest problem because the market will be really strange,” Klopp explained.
