Jose Mourinho describes the difference between winning with Manchester United and Roma
Jose Mourinho has outlined the distinction between winning with  Manchester United and winning with Roma.
On Wednesday night, when Roma won the Europa Conference League, the Portuguese coach was visibly moved.
A Nicolo Zaniolo goal gave the Italians a 1-0 win over Feyenoord, securing another trophy for the former United, Chelsea, and Tottenham manager.
Mourinho discussed the difference between winning with Roma and winning with United after the game.
“Winning with Manchester United even though it was a Manchester United side that lacked the quality of proper United sides, winning with Manchester United is almost natural.
“Winning the Champions League with Porto is not normal. Bringing joy to people by winning the Champions League with Inter.
“Inter is naturally a huge club, but I think it was 50 years since they had won the Champions League and brought joy to the fans. Today winning this competition brings joy to the [Roma] people as well.”
Mourinho led Manchester United to the Europa League in 2016/17. That year, he also won the League Cup and the Community Shield.
Since then, United has failed to win a major title. The Reds recently had their lowest Premier League season in history, finishing with only 58 points.
