Jorginho names the best two players in the Premier League …after himself
Jorginho has named Chelsea teammate N’Golo Kante and Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne as the best two Premier League players last season, excluding himself.
Last season, the midfielder had a fantastic season, winning the Champions League with Chelsea and then Euro 2020 with Italy.
This has resulted in a Ballon d’Or nomination, and he will compete for the prestigious award alongside Lionel Messi and Robert Lewandowski.
Because of his recent performances, the 29-year-old is also in contention for one of FIFA’s The Best awards, and he believes he is deserving.
Globo asked the Chelsea star who he would vote for in The Best awards, and he said there was no need for anyone else to be involved besides himself.
“I’m the first, you don’t even need the other two! Jorginho! Are you crazy?!” Jorginho told Globo.
When asked for the best players from last season, the former Napoli man went for two Premier League starts, one with a teammate and the other with a rival.
“Ah…Kanté, maybe,’ he said. I would be between Kanté and De Bruyne, they are two players who are completely different in terms of characteristics, but they are two players who have been showing a lot, and I admire. beautiful football.”
The Best FIFA Football Awards voting begins on November 22nd, with votes for national team coaches and captains.
The awards will be given out in January, with the Ballon d’Or being given out on November 29th in Paris.
