John Terry identifies the current Chelsea star he’d ‘love’ to have played with
John Terry has named a current Chelsea player with whom he would have liked to have played.
The former Blues defender appeared in 717 games for the London club, winning every trophy available during their most successful period.
Terry has captained them for the majority of that time and has played alongside some of the best players in the world.
He won the Premier League five times, the Champions League once, the Europa League once, the FA Cup five times, and the League Cup three times.
He shared a dressing room with a diverse range of huge talents, as well as playing alongside some of the best managers.

Terry, on the other hand, has expressed regret, admitting that he would have liked to have played with Thiago Silva from the current crop at Stamford Bridge.
While responding to fans on Twitter, where he has been active since last week, one inquired: “What are your thoughts on Thiago Silva, John?” And how much do you wish you could have played with him at Chels?”
Terry replied: “Absolutely love him. Would have loved to have played alongside him. Does everything so simple but so well. Proper defender.”
Chelsea won the Premier League in 2004/05, Jose Mourinho’s first season in charge, when they steamrolled to victory.
They conceded only 15 goals in the process, with Terry partnering Ricardo Carvalho in front of Petr Cech, who had just been signed from Rennes as a 23-year-old.
The record has since stood, but there is optimism that Thomas Tuchel’s current squad will break it this season.
Chelsea has only conceded four goals this season and sits atop the Premier League table after 11 games, and their current trajectory shows them dethroning Mourinho and Terry’s defensive masters of 16 years ago.
The Blues legend is currently looking for coaching work after leaving Aston Villa as a member of Dean Smith’s backroom staff, though the manager has since been fired.
