Joao Felix lifts a lid on what life as a Chelsea player is like after West Ham draw
Joao Felix expresses that despite the disappointment of not securing a win against West Ham in the Premier League on Saturday, he is still relishing his experience as a player for Chelsea.
He marked his debut for the team by scoring his first goal, which was set up by a fantastic pass from Enzo Fernandez, another recent addition to the squad.
West Ham managed to equalize through a goal from Emerson, preventing Chelsea from securing a full victory.
Despite this setback, Joao Felix mentions that he has smoothly acclimated to his new team because of the exceptional talent of his teammates.
He told the club’s website after the draw at the London Stadium:“I think we did enough to win, but this is football and you have to accept that West Ham defended well throughout the game.
“In the first 30 minutes, we had the ball in the net three times, two obviously cancelled out for offside, but at this point we were looking strong.
“Playing in this team with the quality around me, it’s easy. We all connect well and I think there are signs of that happening.
“Okay, we didn’t get the win on this occasion but we can build on this for the next game and hopefully get the three points going forward.”
Although Joao Felix received a red card in his first game for Chelsea, his performance against West Ham showcased his skill and control.
His quick thinking and exceptional ball handling abilities entertained the visiting supporters at the London Stadium and impressed everyone in attendance.
