‘It’s a pleasure’: £50m midfielder linked with Chelsea move reveals what N’Golo Kante told him
Aurelien Tchouameni of Monaco has revealed details of a recent chat he had with Chelsea striker N’Golo Kante.
Tchouameni, 22, is a talisman for Monaco and a highly touted young midfielder.
Furthermore, he is now a senior France international, having scored his first goal for his country against Ivory Coast last Friday.
The defensive midfielder has been identified as a Chelsea transfer target in recent months, with a £50 million price tag attached to his head.
Tchouameni has been talking about a conversation he had with Chelsea midfielder and France teammate N’Golo Kante during the current international break.
Kante, who turns 31 today, returns to the French lineup tonight against South Africa after missing the previous game due to personal circumstances.
“It is a pleasure to have N’Golo again [in the France squad]. He congratulated me for my goal, we discussed it and we are very happy to have him,” Tchouameni said.
Tchouameni, without a doubt, is a tremendous talent who appears destined to leave Monaco at some point.
He has a lot of physical traits that could help him in the Premier League, so he should pick Kante’s brain for advice at every international match.
A new player in the center of the park does not have to be a priority for Chelsea.
It would be ideal for a change of ownership to go smoothly before focusing on signing top-tier defenders.
The Blues’ midfield is stocked with names like Kante, Jorginho, Mateo Kovacic, and Ruben Loftus-Cheek. Conor Gallagher and Billy Gilmour will also return from loan spells in the summer.
