Incredible twist as Jack Grealish receive late Aston Villa plea after Man City medical
Jack Grealish has been advised to change his mind about joining Manchester City by former Aston Villa striker Marcus Allback.
Grealish is closing in on a £100million move to the Premier League champions which would make him the most expensive player in British transfer history.
The 25-year-old was pictured departing City’s training ground after finalizing a medical on Thursday having agreed personal terms.
But Allback has urged the boyhood Villa fan to review the move and lead Dean Smith’s side into the new Premier League season as skipper instead.
“It would be nice if he stayed and it would have been a hard decision to leave,” Allback, who played for Villa between 2002 and 2004, told Rekatochlarkt.

“He’s grown up with Villa and he has a lot of emotions for the club and city, so for him to move to Manchester City is hard. He’ll always be one of Villa’s sweethearts.
“It would be cool if he resisted the offer and stayed at Villa as they brought players in and really tried to go for it.”
Grealish is expected to sign a five-year deal with Pep Guardiola’s side having said goodbye to his Villa teammates on Wednesday.
Villa hoped to secure Grealish’s future with a new deal after owners Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens gave the green light to a bumper offer.
But the bait of possible Premier League and Champions League success has proved too tough to resist for Grealish, who will leave Villa with 213 appearances to his name.
Villa have brought Emiliano Buendia, Ashley Young, Leon Bailey and Danny Ings to the club so far this summer.
