“I would like my next team to be…” – Brighton’s Alexis Mac Allister gives Manchester City transfer hope

Manchester City is compiling a list of potential midfield options for the upcoming summer transfer window, and one of their potential targets has made it clear that he is interested in being pursued.

Given the uncertainty surrounding players such as Ilkay Gundogan and Bernardo Silva, the midfield position is expected to be a key area of focus for Manchester City in the coming months.

Alexis Mac Allister, who played a significant role in Argentina’s FIFA World Cup victory, is one player who has attracted attention and is currently the subject of transfer rumors. The midfielder currently plays for Brighton & Hove Albion.

Mac Allister played in all of Argentina’s World Cup games except for the opening match against Saudi Arabia and had a standout performance, scoring a goal against Poland in Group C and providing an assist in the final against France.

His impressive display has caught the attention of Premier League clubs, with reports stating that Manchester City’s manager Pep Guardiola has marked the 24-year-old as a top priority target for the upcoming summer transfer window.

In a recent interview with TyC Sports, Alexis Mac Allister, who plays for Brighton and is also a member of the Argentina national team, has given Premier League clubs, including Manchester City, reason to be hopeful about signing him in the upcoming months.

During the interview, he addressed the speculation surrounding his immediate future. He explained, “At the moment, I’m enjoying my present at Brighton and I’m not thinking about the future.

“But I would like my next team to be in the Premier League.”

In addition to the search for a midfielder, Manchester City is also reportedly in the market for a wide forward, with AC Milan’s Rafael Leao being closely monitored this season.

The club is also expected to prioritize the acquisition of a left-sided full-back, given that Joao Cancelo is not expected to return to Manchester City following his initial six-month loan deal with Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga.
