In this week’s Europa League knockout rounds, two in-form teams, Barcelona and Manchester United, will face off.
Both teams are aware that if they can break the tie, their path to victory in this year’s competition will be much easier.
Each team is loaded with matchwinners, and Marcus Rashford is currently Manchester United’s most dangerous player with 21 goals scored this season.
Barcelona is wary of him, as Rashford is a vastly improved player compared to when he faced the La Liga club in 2019.
The Danish ace Andreas Christensen could be tasked with trying to stop him as one of the defenders.
The former Chelsea central defender has previously competed against Rashford, and he has taken note of the Manchester United forward’s performances.
Christensen told Mundo Deportivo: “He is in great shape at the moment. I like him a lot, I love his way of playing.
“He is a direct, dangerous and powerful player.”
The Danish international also lauded Manchester United’s current performance and expressed his eagerness for the upcoming match.
Christensen said: “They have great quality and the way they play is good. I think Ten Hag will take them to a different level.
“It will be a tough match, but I think we are in a great moment. It will be a great match and it will be important to win at home.”
Robert Lewandowski is a lethal goalscorer for Barcelona, who are currently atop La Liga after a strong start to the season.
United face Newcastle in the Carabao Cup final a few days later, and Rashford must maintain his “dangerous” form during these few weeks.
