“I don’t want to be like this”: Manchester United player makes worrying admission

Alex Telles, on loan from  Manchester United, made a peculiar admission about his temporary Spanish employers.

United and manager Erik ten Hag authorized a loan for Telles during the summer transfer window so that the Brazilian could continue to play with the first team.

The arrival of Tyrell Malacia from Feyenoord meant that Telles would have always struggled for playing time at Old Trafford, so it appears that his decision to leave was the correct one.

Luke Shaw and Malacia are currently engaged in a fierce competition for the left fullback position.

Telles disclosed via SportWitness to Estadio Deportivo that his experience with Los Nervionenses in Spain has fallen short of his expectations.

The defender remarked, “A player doesn’t want to be like this and even more so in a club like Sevilla.”

“We know the history of the club and the importance of the competition [Champions League], and we have to change this situation; we feel that we train to change every day, and we know that these moments happen in football.”

“We have to focus on the fact that the moment is going to pass, and we are going to enjoy it more and more.”

Despite the fact that Telles has been a key player for Sevilla and has established himself as a regular starter, the Spanish team has had a miserable season thus far.

They are currently 16th in the La Liga table, a far cry from their fourth-place finish last season, which propelled them into the Champions League.

Sevilla is ranked third in the Champions League, behind Manchester City and Dortmund.

They are unlikely to advance to the elimination rounds unless something extraordinary occurs in their favor.

Nonetheless, the majority of United supporters care most about the 29-year-old’s playing  time. This bodes well for him when he returns to his parent club and a decision is made regarding his long-term future.
