Cristiano Ronaldo, as stated by Manchester Evening News in a TalkTV interview with Piers Morgan, identifies three current Manchester United  players he admires and believes as having great potential.

Casemiro is a player of the highest caliber, and his credentials need no elaboration. The selection of the former Real Madrid midfielder who joined the Red Devils this summer is unsurprising given that he has spent much of his career playing alongside Cristiano Ronaldo.

One may argue that Diogo Dalot is the most improved Manchester United player over the past year. Finally entrusted with a starting position, the Portuguese right-back is demonstrating his whole skill set and is quite stunning.

Let’s go on to Lisandro Martinez. Whoever had concerns about the Argentinian’s ability to succeed in the Premier League, the 24-year-old has effectively dispelled them. Martinez is undoubtedly the best addition in the English Premier League so far this season.

In the interview, Ronaldo praised these players in particular, which will be a confidence booster for them. He said:

“In Manchester United I can mention Dalot, he’s young, but very professional but I don’t doubt that he’s going to have longevity in football because he’s young, he’s smart, intelligent and he’s very professional. Probably [Lisandro] Martinez, Casemiro is in his 30s, but I will say Dalot.”

All of the aforementioned players, including Ronaldo, are currently on international duty in an effort to assist their respective countries win the coveted World Cup. Dalot, in particular, can assist Ronaldo realize his lifelong ambition.

Ronaldo may not be in his finest form for his club, but any team that underestimates the Portuguese superstar does so at its own peril. The 37-year-old has repeatedly demonstrated that he will disprove his detractors, and Portugal will be hoping this holds true.
