“I am not sure” – Tottenham striker now makes worrying comment about his future at the club
Troy Parrott, the young Tottenham striker, has acknowledged that he is uncertain about his future but desires to stay with the club. Parrott is highly regarded in the Tottenham academy and has displayed his talent by scoring 17 goals and providing three assists for the U18s.
Nevertheless, he has yet to break into the first team and has been sent on loan to various English clubs to enhance his skills. He had a good loan spell last season, scoring 10 goals and giving seven assists in 47 games for MK Dons.
However, his loan at Preston North End this season has been less successful, with just two goals in 21 appearances.
Speaking to Lancs Live about his future, Parrott said: “I am not sure. I hope I have a future at Tottenham – I have always said that’s where I want to play. But, we will see how the end of the season goes, then take it into the summer and take it as it comes.”
There has been a lot of talk and speculation surrounding Troy Parrott’s future at Tottenham, with both fans and experts eagerly anticipating his promotion to the first team.
However, the young player can find encouragement in the success story of Harry Kane, another academy graduate who is now Tottenham’s top scorer of all time.
Kane also spent time on loan before making his mark with the senior team and has since become a legendary figure at the club. Parrott will be hoping to follow in his footsteps and achieve similar success.
It remains to be seen whether Parrott will be given the opportunity to prove himself at Tottenham, especially with the club being linked to other established strikers such as Juventus’ Dusan Vlahovic. According to recent reports, Tottenham is ready to pay £67m to acquire Vlahovic as a long-term replacement for Kane.
