Huge blow: Klopp dealt devastating Liverpool setback that’ll leave fans gutted
Liverpool’s pursuit of RB Leipzig attacker Christopher Nkunku has been given a huge setback.
According to L’Equipe [via Liverpool Echo], even an £85 million bid for the Frenchman would not be enough to entice him away from the Bundesliga club this summer.
Liverpool aren’t the only team interested in the 24-year-old, with Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain, and Real Madrid also interested.
Klopp is leading Liverpool to what could be their best season yet, with an incredible quadruple bid drawing closer by the week.

He appears to be planning for the future as well, with several of his players approaching the age of 30, and replacements could be bought sooner rather than later in order to settle in fast.
However, the management may need to explore elsewhere for attacking options given the news on Nkunku, with the asking price for him approaching absurd heights.
At first sight, the Frenchman appears to be a terrific addition, having scored 32 goals and provided 20 assists in 49 games this season.
These are pretty incredible stats, especially when you consider that he isn’t only a centre-forward but can also play in attacking midfield and as a second attacker.
Former Leipzig boss Jesse Marsch labelled the 24-year-old as a player “without weaknesses,” and judging on Nkunku’s performances this season, it’s difficult to disagree.
Liverpool may have to settle on other targets unless they believe a sum of near to £100 million is justified for the French predator.
