“His value is rising” – Fabrizio Romano issues update on Liverpool, Chelsea Man Utd and Man City transfer target
Fabrizio Romano has stated that Jude Bellingham’s value continues to rise as a result of his outstanding performance for Borussia Dortmund this season.
In his latest exclusive post for CaughtOffside, the transfer news expert praised Bellingham’s quality and leadership while providing an update on his status.
With five goals and two assists in his previous seven games across all competitions, the England international is undeniably one of the world’s finest young talents right now.
Bellingham, who is still only 19 years old, clearly has a bright career ahead of him, and it seems obvious that Europe’s premier clubs will be vying for his signature before long.
Romano earlier stated in his column that “Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United, and, of course, Real Madrid all want him.”
And he’s now added that the asking price for Bellingham appears to be rising all the time.
“I think the precise fee will be clear after the World Cup, not now; but for sure, more than €100m,” Romano said.
“His value is rising and I think it’s absolutely right: he’s showing quality, leadership, talent, he’s more than a midfielder.”
Bellingham appears to be ideal for what Liverpool require right now with their dismal start to the season, with Jurgen Klopp undoubtedly requiring a large expenditure to rebuild this side and bring in a long-term successor to club captain Jordan Henderson.
Chelsea, meanwhile, have showed plenty of ambition recently and would benefit from bringing in an all-rounder like Bellingham in midfield as both N’Golo Kante and Jorginho approach free agency.
Still, as Romano previously stated, we can expect United, City, and Real Madrid to be in the hunt for the teenager, and if his price continues to rise, Liverpool may be out of the running.
