“He’s not a machine.” Thiago Silva’s wife Belle hits back at TV commentator who criticized Chelsea defender
Chelsea lost 1-4. Brentford’s win may be the most surprising result of the Premier League season thus far.
Despite everything was going on off the field, the Blues came into the game wanting to maintain their third-place position.
Before the game, there was a minor protest outside Stamford Bridge against probable new owners the Ricketts family.
But it appeared as if the players would speak for themselves on the field when Antonio Rudiger scored a 30-yard screamer to put them ahead 1-0 minutes into the second half.
However, six minutes later, they were behind 2-1.
Christian Eriksen continued his great week by putting Brentford ahead 2-1. Vitaly Janelt equalized.
Chelsea then crumbled as Janelt grabbed another on the hour mark before Yoane Wissa came off the bench to add insult to injury.
After such a humiliating defeat, no Chelsea player could leave the field with their heads held high.
Thiago Silva, the Brazilian defender, was among those who were chastised for looking his age for the first time this season.
But if you start questioning his performance, you’ll have to answer to his wife.
That’s because Belle Silva, who is highly active on social media, reacted angrily to a TV broadcaster who allegedly chastised Thiago for not ‘attacking’ enough.
In an Instagram video, Belle said:
“I’m here in my box at Stamford Bridge. I just listened right now to the commentator, who said that Thiago Silva is not attacking enough,” she said.
“Respect Thiago Silva because Thiago Silva arrived yesterday, Thiago Silva played for Brazil, Thiago Silva is very tired, Thiago Silva is 37 years old, he plays like he is 20 years old.
“So respect him, he’s not a machine. He needs to relax, alright?”
Thiago Silva’s wife, Belle, was not happy with the commentator’s comments regarding the #Chelsea centre-back.

We all need someone in our lives who will defend us as Belle does Thiago.
To be fair to Belle, despite his advanced age, her husband has been outstanding for Chelsea this season.
Thiago responded to the loss with his own social media message, which read:
“Good days make you happy. Bad days bring you experience. Both are essential for life. Happiness makes you good, but troubles make you strong. Pain keeps you human, falls keep you humble. Success keeps you bright, but only GOD keeps you standing (Denzel Washington). WE keep going.”
