Henry has urged Edu to replicate Arsenal transfer trick and hijack Man Utd deal

Arsenal must strengthen its midfield during the January transfer window. Despite having a solid starting pivot in the middle of the park, Mikel Arteta’s options are limited due to a lack of excellent depth players.

The Gunners presently lead Manchester City by five points in the Premier League, but the depth behind Arteta’s starting XI remains the primary concern for Arsenal’s chances of lifting the trophy in May.

If Edu wants to maintain Arsenal’s title push, a midfielder must be signed immediately. Thierry Henry has welcomed the possibility of the Gunners hijacking Manchester United’s planned deal for Ajax’s Mohammed Kudus as a feasible option.

The Daily Telegraph reports that Manchester United will explore a January transfer for Kudus. The Ghanaian had a strong World Cup with the Black Stars, nearly leading his country to the knockout round.

This comes after Arsenal star Thierry Henry hailed Kudus earlier in the season for his Champions League performance against Liverpool. Henry stated on CBS Sports that Mohammed Kudus came from the Academy Right to Dream in Ghana and is now realizing his dream.

Albert Sambi Lokonga, Mohamed Elneny, and Fabio Vieira are Arsenal’s three midfield rotational options. However, their quality is inferior to the current starters under Arteta.

Edu might even employ Partey as a crucial transfer agent in a hypothetical transaction, given that the Arsenal midfielder is a highly important Ghana player. Edu has already utilized this strategy to sign a transfer target.

This method has proven successful for Edu in the past, as seen by Arsenal’s signing of Aaron Ramsdale prior to the 2021-2022 season. The fans may credit Bukayo Saka for this transfer, since Ramsdale had dubbed the youngster “Agent Saka.”

On the FA YouTube page, Ramsdale discussed how Saka facilitated his transfer to the Gunners. “Agent Saka, that’s what he says. He also said the manager [Mikel Arteta] spoke to him a couple of times about me and thankfully he gave a good review.”

Saka and Ramsdale were colleagues before they met at the club level, as both were called up to the England national team in the summer of 2020 in preparation for the European Championships. Arsenal might employ a similar strategy with Partey so as to sabotage Manchester United’s perfect January transfer.
