Harry Kane to set new personal record with goal against Everton

Harry Kane to set new personal record with goal against Everton

According to OptaJoe, Harry Kane has now scored in four consecutive Premier League games, which is his joint-longest scoring streak in the competition.

After a failed move to Manchester City last summer, Kane struggled in front of goal during the first half of last season, but the striker returned to his prolific best after Antonio Conte arrived at Tottenham.

Although some may argue that the 29-year-old has not been at his best in some games this season, the striker has continued to find the back of the net on a regular basis.

In the 20th minute, the striker produced a typical poacher’s finish at the Amex Stadium, swooping to get a flick on Son Heung-min’s cross/shot.

His goal against Brighton was the England captain’s eighth in nine Premier League games this season (Transfermarkt).

According to Opta, Kane now has 12 goals in 12 games and is on his joint longest consecutive scoring streak in the Premier League, having scored against Fulham, Leicester, Arsenal, and Brighton.

Given that he has scored 191 goals in the Premier League, Kane has not scored in five consecutive Premier League matches before his career.

The striker appears to be on track for his best-ever season in front of goal, and he would be getting a lot more credit if Erling Haaland hadn’t had such an outstanding start to his Premier League career.
