Harry Kane mocked as ‘even West Ham’ win a trophy before Tottenham superstar

Harry Kane’s absence of winning titles became a subject of discussion on social media when West Ham impressively put an end to their own trophy drought in Prague.

Despite scoring 351 goals for both his club and the national team, the English captain and key player for Tottenham Hotspur has yet to experience the joy of lifting a trophy, while his rival clubs have achieved success.

As David Moyes’ West Ham defeated Fiorentina 2-1 in the final of the Europa Conference League, the 29-year-old striker was a popular topic of conversation, and not many people showed sympathy towards him.

One comment said: “I still can’t believe Declan Rice has lifted a European trophy with West Ham while Harry Kane is still clapping at Spurs.”

A second fan posted: “The whole West Ham squad have now won more than Harry Kane.”

A third continued: “Harry Kane must be watching on and seriously considering his Tottenham future…”

A fourth concluded: “Have West Ham had a better season than Arsenal and Declan Rice had a better career than Harry Kane now?”

If Kane decides to leave Tottenham with one year remaining on his contract and join Real Madrid, he could potentially put an end to his trophy drought in the upcoming season. There are reports suggesting that Real Madrid is interested in acquiring Kane as a replacement for Karim Benzema, who recently moved to Saudi Arabia.

Real Madrid has a remarkable track record of success, having won at least one trophy in each of the past four seasons and a total of nine trophies in the last 12 seasons. Joining a club with such a strong winning tradition increases the likelihood of Kane finally getting his hands on silverware.

Speaking on speculation regarding his own future at the end of the campaign, Kane said: “That’s part and parcel of being a footballer – especially when you’re at the top of your game.

“I’ve just been focusing on this season and trying to help the team as much as possible.

“To score a couple today was nice, to finish that way, but all in all I’m just looking forward to a nice break and then a couple of games with England.”
