Gundogan reveals he spotted something strange about Chelsea’s three Germans after the CL victory.
Manchester City’s Ilkay Gundogan holds the Chelsea trio in the Germany camp seems to be more confident after the Champions League victory.
The 30-year-old finished the season as Manchester City’s top scorer in their Premier League-winning campaign with 13 goals, exceptionally, as a midfielder.
Manchester City still finished up the season with two awards; the Premier League and the League Cup, but they fell low in the one competition that they needed most; the Champions League, after the ultimate loss to Chelsea.
The loss was tough to take for Gundogan, particularly that he has been in an alike situation before with Borussia Dortmund in 2013.
“It’s not easy to stomach a defeat like this,” the Manchester City star said during his Germany press conference on Thursday.

“I lost the final again, and I’m extremely gutted about that.
“But life goes on, that’s the beauty of competitive sport. I had a few days off, which I needed I made good use of them.
“Now I’m focusing on the tasks at hand and I can look forward to the tournament, despite defeat in the final.”
But Gundogan does not appear to have any problem with the three Chelsea stars in the Germany squad.
In fact, he is happy about how the Champions League success has affected these three.
“The Champions League win gives players a boost, gives them confidence,” he revealed.
“Especially Kai, who scored the winner, has been given a massive [confidence] boost, which we can use to help us as a team.
“I’m happy for them, they deserved it.”
