Guardiola comes out clear to claim Manchester city are winning because of Money.
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola had recently commented that his club Manchester city recent performance, a contentious streak of winning matches is attributed to the fact that his club has a lot of money.
Many did not take his statement seriously while others treated it as a mare sarcasm. The manchester city boss has once again come out clearly on this matter terming his previous statement as the truth of the matter and not sarcasm.
Pep said when a team wins lots of matches and achieve what his club has managed to achieve within four years, it needs to have very top players, and these top players costs money. He further said that to win lots of titles you don’t need average players but you can although win one title with average players. A lot of titles are won by top top top players.
He gave examples of clubs such as Manchester United, Milan, Barcelona, Juventus, Real Madrid, Bayern Munchen and Scotlands Rangers and Celtic win more titles because they have more money than other clubs. He said his comments on his club achieving because of money is his reflection and should not be treated as sarcasm but the truth.
Manchester City is no doubt the best team in Europe for the past few seasons. They are currently enjoying a 10 point lead at the top of the Premier League table, have created 55 big chances, more than any other team in the League, conceded fewer goals per game than any other team and has been able to produce the highest number of clean sheets.
Statistics don’t lie, Pep Guardiola achievements are immense. He has in the past guided Barcelona and Bayern Munchen to glory, teams that he quoted in his examples of teams achieving because of money. With this, it is very difficult to disagree with his statement. To achieve fir a very long time, a club must be ready to spend.
