Graham Potter drops F-bomb in message to Chelsea fans
Chelsea manager Graham Potter gave a passionate speech to fans on Thursday night ahead of the Champions League quarter-final draw on Friday morning.
Potter, who has previously faced criticism for his perceived lack of personality and passion during his time at Stamford Bridge, declared that he and the players will do their best to win the Champions League.
He recently led Chelsea to three consecutive victories for the first time since October, including wins over Leeds United and Leicester City in the Premier League and progressing to the quarter-finals of the Champions League against Borussia Dortmund.
Chelsea is now only five games away from winning the biggest club competition in Europe. The club is waiting to find out who their quarter-final opponents will be, and their path to the final will also be determined on Friday.
Ahead of the draw, Potter expressed his readiness to compete. At the end of the club event, Potter was asked to convey a message to the fans.
He thanked them for their incredible support and acknowledged that the team will need their backing in the upcoming matches.
Blues boss was asked for his message to the fans, to which Potter replied: “Well firstly it’s thank you because they’ve been incredibly fair with us. They’ve stuck with the team, the support we’ve had has been amazing and we’ll need them on Saturday.
“We will try and beat Everton, take the draw and then we will try and win the F* champions league.” This rally cry was met by a chorus of laughs and cheers from the supporters in attendance, as Potter continues to win over some of the critics among the fanbase.
