‘Going towards my dream’ – Gabriel Jesus taunts Arsenal supporters with a clip while flying to London to complete a £45 million deal

The Brazilian international will be introduced as a Gunner Today, with fellow Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling expected to join him in the capital at Chelsea soon after.

In a video posted online, Jesus can be seen wearing an Arsenal jersey and wandering around the Emirates Stadium.

After weeks of negotiations, Gabriel Jesus’ transfer from Manchester City to Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal has become a ‘dream’ that has all happened in a blur.

And the 25-year-old contributed to the buzz on social media with his own Instagram video.

He was taken from a vehicle speeding down a highway and left a note in Portuguese indicating that he was on his way to achieve his “dream.”

Jesus chose Arsenal – and a reunion with former City assistant manager Mikel Arteta – over a new contract at Etihad because he wanted more regular starts.

He is familiar with opportunities with Premier League titles.

The summer arrivals of Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez will put even more pressure on City next season.

Jesus is anticipated to fill the No. 9 shirt left vacant by Alexandre Lacazette’s departure to Lyon.

Last season, he had 13 goals and 12 assists in 41 appearances for Pep Guardiola’s team.

Meanwhile, Sterling is said to have conducted hopeful talks with Chelsea over the weekend.

Although, like Jesus, the 27-year-old’s contract at Etihad Stadium expires in 12 months, City want more than £45 million for the England star.

Guardiola’s goal for Etihad incomings has shifted to capturing Kalvin Phillips, having already strengthened up front.

City require a long-term replacement for anchorman Fernandinho, who is 37 years old.

In addition, they have thwarted Manchester United’s interest in Leeds midfielder Phillips.

The 26-year-old Englishman, who has 23 caps, may cost the same as Jesus.
