‘Give him a chance!’ ‘We don’t need Abraham’ Arsenal supporters believe the club could save 40M by placing more trust in 20-year-old star.
Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun scored after coming on as a replacement in a 4-1 friendly victory over Millwall at the weekend.
The 20-year-old was joined on the scoresheet by Alexandre Lacazette, Nicolas Pepe and Calum Chambers as the Gunners maintained their pre-season preparations.
There have been reports from recognized sources in recent days that Arsenal are keen on signing Chelsea’s Tammy Abraham for £40m, but many supporters on Twitter feel Balogun should be given more chances before the London club dash out on another forward:
Yeah use Balogun, give him a chance !! why u gonna waste wages on a BTEC Danny Welbeck

I don’t want Abraham. I think we should put faith in balogun and extend laca for another year until balogun is ready to take over.

💯%. Abraham is not good enough for Chelsea, why would he be good enough for us? Balogun deserves his chance.

The Gunners are only likely to attempt a deal for Abraham if the likes of Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah depart the Emirates this summer anyway so Balogun will likely still be in manager Mikel Arteta’s plans even if the Chelsea star arrives.
With that being said, Balogun will want to continue to dazzle with his displays during pre-season to push himself up the pecking order before the start of the campaign.
