Georginio Wijnaldum sends six-word message after Sadio Mane’s Liverpool goal against Watford
Liverpool’s Sadio Mane scored his 100th Premier League goal on Saturday and has now received a message from Georginio Wijnaldum.
The Reds thrashed Watford 5-0 at Vicarage Road, with Mane somehow taking a back seat.
Roberto Firmino scored a hat-trick, and Mohamed Salah added another magical goal.
Mane’s 100th Premier League goal may have gotten lost in the shuffle.
Mane calmly put Liverpool ahead after latching on to a sumptuous Salah pass.
That’s 79 Premier League goals for Liverpool and 21 for Southampton, with Mane completing a significant feat.
This weekend, Mane’s achievements were recognized, and former Reds ace Wijnaldum chimed in.
Some may recall that Mane and Wijnaldum both joined Liverpool around the same time, in the summer of 2016.
Wijnaldum, on the other hand, left Liverpool this summer. With his contract expiring, he chose to join Paris Saint-Germain.
The Dutchman, on the other hand, hasn’t forgotten about his former club, sending a message to Mane on Sunday.
Wijnaldum praised Mane’s accomplishment on Twitter, calling it “incredible,” and congratulating the Senegalese star on a slew of Premier League goals.
Congrats Sadio with this incredible achievement 💯👏🏾💫 pic.twitter.com/SpOkSuS170
