With the player deal with Liverpool expiring in June, Barcelona are confident of landing the player to Nou Camp according to Football Insider reports.

The Netherlands international has become a regular starter in Klopp side and has started in 26 matches out of 28. Liverpools’ effort to tie him to another contract has failed as the player is more determined to join his dream club Barcelona.

Wijnaldum previously worked with Ronald Koeman when the coach was in charge of the Netherlands national team. A reunion is a tempting prospect for the 30 years who will have a chance to play with his Netherland teammate Frankie de Jong.
