Manchester United legend Gary Neville has announced the three stars his former club requires to win the Premier League next summer. The Red Devils came closer than anyone else after completing second to Manchester City this term.

This comes as the Red Devils completed runners-up to Manchester City after a rollercoaster of a campaign.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer came under mounting stress early in the year after dropping out of the Champions League at the group stage.

But he has transformed it around and led the club to second, without succumbing a single defeat away from home in the Premier League.

However, the Norwegian is not satisfied with a silver medal and is ready to break the bank to go one step further and obtain the title.

Several elite players have been associated with an Old Trafford move and now former United star Neville has had his say.

Several elite players have been associated with an Old Trafford move and now former United player Neville has had his say.

Through a Twitter Q&A, the Sky Sports pundit was asked where his old team would close with the right signings next year.

He replied: “Varane, Kane and Sancho = title.”

All three have been heavily connected with a move to United, with Solskjaer desperate for a center-back, a winger, and a striker.

However, each position could be too high-priced with reports over differing asking prices.

Tottenham chief Daniel Levy has asked £200m for Harry Kane while Jadon Sancho’s price, less than last year, still worth near £80m.

Whether Real Madrid would take an offer for Raphael Varane, with fellow defensive associate Sergio Ramos looking likely to leave when his deal lapses this summer.

Losing both their top defenders in the same season would be far from paragon at the Bernabeu, though the Frenchman will also be starting the final year of his contract.

As well as the named three, several other stars have been associated including Erling Haaland, Kieran Trippier, and Pau Torres.
