Gary Neville causes a stir amongst Chelsea fans with his remarks on N’Golo Kante.
Former Manchester United and England defender Gary Neville has created quite a bustle amongst Chelsea supporters.
With no Premier League football to review this summer, the pundit has made the momentary switch from Sky Sports to ITV to offer his insightful breakdown on the European Championships.
However, he may have made a sharp error at half-time of France’s last-16 encounter against Switzerland as he was critical of how the reigning world champions prospered in the first half.
The bulk of Neville’s ire was directed at Les Bleus’ midfield setup with N’Golo Kante partnering Manchester United’s Paul Pogba in the engine room.
In criticizing the pair and their role in Switzerland taking the lead, Neville hinted that Kante can’t play in a midfield two.

Now, given Kante was excellent playing alongside Jorginho in last month’s Champions League final just a month ago, it’s no shock there has been a huge backlash from Chelsea fans on social media.
Even if it was a slip of the tongue from Neville and he just got caught up in the time, Blues fans are not going to let him live this criticism down that easy.
