Gary Lineker sends Bukayo Saka message after Arsenal player wins London award
Bukayo Saka, the talented Arsenal player, was recognized for his excellent performance when he received the Men’s Young Player of the Year award at the London Football Awards on Monday evening.
Saka has been a key player for his team, scoring ten goals and assisting nine others in the Premier League this season, which has helped Arsenal climb to the top of the league with only 11 games remaining.
Saka expressed his gratitude to his supporters by sharing a sincere message on social media after receiving the award.
“Thank you to the London Football Awards for awarding me Men’s Young Player of the Year,” he wrote on Instagram. “It’s an honour to win it for a second time and congratulations to all the other winners!”
Leicester City playmaker James Maddison then replied in the comments section by saying: “Love it u.” Former Foxes striker and current Match of the Day host Gary Lineker also heaped praise on the young Arsenal winger.
Writing about the 21-year-old on Twitter, Lineker said: “An incredible impressive young man and a wonderful footballer. Congratulations @BukayoSaka87 (clapping emoji) (clapping emoji).”
In addition to Saka’s achievement, other Arsenal players were also recognized for their outstanding performances.
Aaron Ramsdale was awarded the title of goalkeeper of the year, while Martin Odegaard, the captain of the team, was named the player of the year.
Furthermore, Mikel Arteta, Arsenal’s manager, completed a clean sweep by winning the manager award.
