Gabriel Jesus sends two-word Arsenal vs Leeds message ahead of Premier League return
Arsenal are starting the final stretch of the Premier League season with a major advantage because Gabriel Jesus has recovered and will be fully fit to play. After injuring his knee during the World Cup, the Brazilian required surgery and was out of commission for several months.
This was a big setback for the Gunners, as Jesus had been instrumental in their success since joining from Manchester City in the summer.
Despite this, the team managed to maintain a comfortable lead over City thanks to the contributions of Eddie Nketiah and new signing Leandro Trossard.
Gabriel Jesus was able to return to playing gradually, rather than being immediately thrown back into the team after such a long period of absence. This was made possible by the previous healthy lead Arsenal had over Manchester City, allowing them to manage Jesus’ recovery in a careful manner.
Mikel Arteta, the Arsenal manager, expressed his delight at seeing Jesus return and noted the positive impact it had on the team’s morale. “It was great to see him back. You could feel the happiness of everyone around him. We missed him and now he’s back,” Arteta said earlier this month.
“We have to manage his minutes, his involvement. He’s feeling good and every day he’s training he says his sensations are better so that’s really positive.”
There is optimism that Jesus’ return to the team will help lead the north London club to victory once more and he may start in the upcoming match against Leeds. Additionally, the club revealed a picture on Twitter of Jesus’ new black and pink boots with the message “Back Stronger” written on them.
The 25-year-old’s return has been linked to the catchphrase “Come Back Stronger”, which is also the title of a documentary that chronicles his journey. While it is uncertain if Jesus can lead the team to Premier League victory, his availability certainly enhances their prospects.
