Gabriel Jesus provides major injury update ahead of potential Arsenal return
Gabriel Jesus has shared a photo of himself practicing his back kick with a football on the training field, while Arsenal supporters anticipate his comeback from his injury.
The skillful attacker has been out of action with a knee injury since sustaining medial ligament damage in Brazil’s World Cup match against Cameroon in late November.
He transferred to Arsenal from Manchester City during the previous summer’s transfer window and had an impressive start to his time in north London, scoring five goals and assisting with five more in just 14 Premier League games.
The footballer has shared an update with fans on his recovery progress by posting a photo on social media. In the picture, he is playing with a ball at the London Colney training ground. His tweet included the phrase “Step by step”, alongside multiple emojis before the hashtags of “alômãe” and “gratidão”, which roughly translate to “hello mother” and “gratitude”, the former of which refers to his iconic phone call celebration to his mother.

Football.london recently reported that Arsenal is optimistic about having Gabriel Jesus back in their squad before the upcoming international break.
The 25-year-old forward’s return would be welcome news for Arsenal, who have six matches scheduled before the break, with their final game against Crystal Palace on March 16th.
In response to a question about Jesus’ recovery last week, Arteta stated that he is making good progress and gradually increasing his on-field activities.
“He’s progressing well,” Arteta said when asked about Jesus’ recovery last week. “Doing more and more on the field.
“The knee’s not reacting so it’s really positive. We want him back as quick as possible, but also respecting the timescale that the doctors and the specialists are giving us.”
