Gabriel Jesus posts social media message amid Arsenal injury return plan
Gabriel Jesus, the Arsenal player, implied that he is getting closer to returning from injury through his clothing during the team’s post-game celebrations after their match against Bournemouth.
Jesus, who was seen on the sideline with Mohamed Elneny, was hugged by Mikel Arteta, Emile Smith Rowe, and Reiss Nelson.
Unlike Elneny, who was dressed normally, Jesus was wearing a pre-match kit because he participated in a warm-down after the match with other substitutes like Kieran Tierney and Jakub Kiwior, according to Charles Watts, Arsenal’s correspondent for Goal.com.
“He’s not far now,” Arteta revealed ahead of the Bournemouth game when asked how Jesus is.
“I don’t want to give a timeline, but he’s doing certain things with the team and certain things outside the team still.
“He’s not very close, but he’s not very far. He’s feeling better every day and the doctors are feeling confident with how he’s evolving. We are in a good place with him, I think.”
Arsenal and Arteta have avoided giving a specific timeframe for Gabriel Jesus’ return, but there are some predictions that he could come back in early March, which would align with the resumption of European football for Arsenal.
The team finished first in their Europa League group, granting them automatic entry into the last 16.
In the modern version of the tournament, Arsenal has never been eliminated from this round in their last three appearances.
Gabriel Jesus has participated in numerous training sessions at London Colney, and his post-match workout on Saturday indicates that he is nearing a return. During the workout, he was accompanied by two significant individuals in his life.
On Twitter, the former Manchester City player shared some pictures of his wife and daughter, with a caption that read, “Best part of my day” along with heart and prayer emojis.
