Gabriel Jesus pictured on his hospital bed, sends eight-word message to Arsenal supporters
Gabriel Jesus told Arsenal and Brazil supporters on his Instagram story, ‘I will be back stronger’ after an injury forced him to miss the World Cup in Qatar.
The former Manchester City star underwent ‘successful surgery’ on his right knee on Tuesday, per a tweet from Arsenal. He will now begin his recovery program.
It’s a heartbreaking shame for the player, his country, and Arsenal, as all three are currently riding a wave of success.
Jesus has been a major contributor to Mikel Arteta’s team’s position at the top of the Premier League standings.
The 25-year- old’s performance on the domestic scene earned him a spot in Tite’s World Cup squad for Qatar. He started Brazil’s 1-0 loss to Cameroon in the group stage before suffering an injury.
Brazil will be able to cope with his absence due to the depth of attacking quality possessed by the free-scoring and free-dancing South American giants, but Arsenal will be unable to do so.
Jesus is at the center of how the north London club operates as a unit, their speed of play, and their ability to create space for its soaring young stars, Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka.
Those at the Emirates must now play the waiting game and hope that their star player will return sooner rather than later.
Tuesday evening, Jesus posted the following to his Instagram account: “God is wonderful. I will be back stronger.”, as you can see him pictured on his hospital bed below.

Arteta and his teammates still have a few weeks before the resumption of Premier League play, so they can make an informed long-term choice.
If Jesus is out for an extended period of time, they will be forced to utilize the January transfer window, which opens next month.
The problem they confront is that it’s difficult to replace a player of Jesus’ caliber, considering that he can be an 8/10 without scoring, and any club they approach will be aware of Arsenal’s intentions and increase their asking price.
