Frenchman informs Chelsea he is willing to move to the Premier League
Next year, when his contract with Juventus ends at the end of June, Chelsea target Adrien Rabiot is willing to join the Premier League.
The Frenchman has struggled for playing time at Juventus this season, and he desires more assured games at this stage of his career, as he is getting older.
Despite being one of the most talented central midfielders in the game, Rabiot has not transitioned to Italian football as many had hoped, and Juventus are eager to get his £7 million-a-year salary off their books.
Rabiot, whose contract expires at the end of the season and who is rumored to be on Graham Potter’s shopping list as Chelsea try to bolster their roster, is a player whose services are supposedly on the table.
The France midfielder, who was once a member of Manchester City’s development program, is now with Les Bleus at the World Cup and will decide his future following the tournament in Qatar.
However, he has since acknowledged that he would be open to a move to the Premier League whenever his contract with Juventus expires.
“I feel attracted by the football, by the Premier League itself and its super competitive nature,” Rabiot was quoted
“I loved my time there, even if I was young. I liked the culture and the life; my family liked it too.
“I am not indifferent to playing in England, but there will be many options to consider.
“I have not spoken with Juve about the future, for example as our start to the season was tough, plus the World Cup was coming and I wanted to focus on it.
“After the World Cup, I will start thinking about my future more concretely.”
