France players’ families allegedly CLASH in aftermath of the surprise Euro 2020 exit.
The mother of French midfielder Adrien Rabiot was reportedly implicated in a fiery exchange with the family members of her son’s teammates in the aftereffect of their Euro 2020 disappointment to Switzerland.
The World Cup winners, who led the last-16 clash 3-1 after 80 minutes in Bucharest, were eliminated by the Swiss on penalties in the shock of the competition so far.
Late goals from Swiss pair Haris Seferovic and Mario Gavranovic on Monday night sent the match into extra-time but it was the latter’s dramatic equalizer that reportedly prompted an outburst from Veronique Rabiot in the stands.
According to French outlet RMC Sport, the mother of the Juventus player asked Pogba’s family how he could have lost possession in midfield before the Swiss team countered and found the back of the net.
Her rage continued after the penalty shootout and she then is stated to have asked Mbappe’s father to ‘reframe his son and make him less arrogant’.
She also reportedly ‘attacked’ members of the press broadcasting the match and took aim at some of their attitudes towards the Paris Saint-Germain forward.

It is then alleged there was a ‘heated exchange’ between Veronique Rabiot and Mbappe’s mother, Fayza Lamari, as well as his father.
The families of other French players were said to be ‘shocked’ by Veronique Rabiot’s outburst and the timing of it, given they had just seen their relatives crash out of the competition.
Rabiot’s mother also serves as his agent and has choreographed his transfers in the past.
The 26-year-old had played a part in all four of France’s matches at Euro 2020, including the full 120 minutes against Switzerland on Monday.
Mbappe has since apologized for missing the vital penalty in his nation’s shootout loss by Switzerland.
He failed to score a goal during the whole of the tournament and stepped up to take the fifth spot-kick with the underdogs having converted all of theirs, but his strike was repelled away by Yann Sommer.
With Switzerland’s players passionately celebrating around him, Mbappe cut a lonesome figure as he walked off the field in the Romanian capital.
He later took to social media to reveal his ‘immense’ sadness to fans.
“Very difficult to turn the page,” he wrote.
“The sadness is immense after this elimination, we could not reach our goal.
“I’m sorry for this penalty. I wanted to help the team but failed.
“Finding sleep will be difficult but unfortunately it is the ups and downs of this sport that I love so much.
“I know you fans have been disappointed, but I still want to thank you for your support and for always believing in us.
“The most important thing will be to get up even stronger for the next upcoming deadlines. Congratulations and good luck to Switzerland.”
