Sir Alex Ferguson revealed that Tottenham star Harry Kane and Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero are two Premier League players he wished that he could have managed.

The legendary Scotsman enjoyed unbelievable progress during his 26-year reign at Old Trafford.

Ferguson guided the Red Devils to a tremendous 13 Premier League titles, five FA Cups, four FA Cups, and two Champions League trophies.

The former United manager will be the topic of a new highly awaited documentary film, Sir Alex Ferguson: Never Give In.

Speaking to United legend Gary Neville as part of SPORTbible’s interview, Ferguson pulled out Aguero and Kane as players he would have loved to manage in his distinguished career.

The ex-Aberdeen head coach explained that his two other picks would have included Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli and Spurs star Son Heung-min.

Ferguson explained:
“Kane [is one]. I thought Alli was going to be a top player. I must admit, I don’t know what has gone on there.

“Kane and the boy Son at Tottenham, these have been excellent players.

“Aguero has been a terrific striker, there’s no doubt about that. His goalscoring has been exceptional.

“The top teams will always produce a player that can stand out.”

Sergio Aguero is set to call it time on a distinguished playing career at Manchester City ahead of a possible move to Barcelona in the summer.

The 32-year-old Argentine striker carved his name in the City history books as the club’s record scorer and five-Premier League title haul.

Kane, meanwhile, has been linked with both United and City after confessing his wish to leave Spurs at the end of the season.

Ferguson also told SPORTbible about his regret of not using United cult hero Park Ji-sung to man-mark Lionel Messi in the 2011 Champions League final loss to Barcelona.

Sir Alex Ferguson: Never Give In is slated for release in UK cinemas on 27th May before it arrives on Amazon Prime Video on 29th May.
