Four huge PL moves that may occur before deadline including Arsenal and Tottenham deals

As the final days of the January transfer window approach, Arsenal and Tottenham are poised to steal the spotlight from Chelsea.

Chelsea have been the focal point this month, and there could be more arrivals at Stamford Bridge.

With mega-deals still on the table, SportsDias highlights four to watch out for before Tuesday’s deadline…

Moises Caicedo to Arsenal

Brighton rejected a £55 million offer from Chelsea for the Ecuadorian earlier this month. The Blues were believed to be the frontrunners in the race for the player.

The Seagulls’ £75 million price tag is well-known, but that hasn’t stopped Arsenal from entering the fray, amid reports that they intend to compete with Chelsea for his signature.

Brighton would be in a position to make a substantial profit on the pitiful £4.5 million they paid to Independiente del Valle in 2021. Arsenal, on the other hand, would acquire a high-caliber midfielder who could solve Mikel Arteta’s depth problem in the second half of the season.

Pedro Porro to Tottenham

The Spurs have been pursuing Porro for nearly the entire month, and there has never been any indication that they will abandon their pursuit of the Sporting ace.

The Spaniard is expected to make an immediate impact at right wing-back for Antonio Conte’s squad, where Emerson Royal has failed to impress.

Sporting have driven a hard bargain, demanding the full £39 million release clause, while Spurs have allegedly offered various ways to avoid paying the hefty fee in full.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, a new round of negotiations will take place on Thursday, with optimism growing that the 23-year-old will be in north London within the next 48 hours.

Enzo Fernandez to Chelsea

The saga was believed to have ended earlier this month when Chelsea and Benfica engaged in fruitless negotiations for the World Cup-winning midfielder.

Fernandez scored days after it appeared he would move to Stamford Bridge and signaled to the Portuguese crowd that he would not be leaving.

The 21-year-old has quickly become a household name since moving to Europe from River Plate in the summer. According to reports, Chelsea is poised to launch a renewed effort to acquire him.

With a massive £105 million release clause that Benfica are expected to demand in full, Fernandez to Chelsea could be the biggest deal of the month if it goes through.

Ivan Fresneda to Arsenal

Since making his debut with Real Valladolid this season, the teen fullback has made a name for himself, and a number of elite clubs are rumored to be interested in signing him.

There have reportedly been discussions between Arsenal and Fresneda’s representatives. Arsenal is believed to be among those clubs.

Valladolid sporting director Fran Sanchez insists that they have not yet received a formal offer, so there is still plenty of meat on the bones.  “[Fresneda] has aroused the interest of many teams, but we have not received an official offer,” he told Spanish newspaper Diario AS.
