The 34 years old former Inter Milan player was confronted by police and dragged away after he was accused of assaulting his father and other family members on Thursday.

This comes just days after Guarin had asked his team Millonarios to give him some time off his club duties due to ‘personal issues’ as reported by Marca.

Guillermo Arango, a Colombian journalist reported that Millonarios will stand by Guarin and offer him any necessary support that he may require during this tough time.

The midfielder joined Inter Milan in 20212 after enjoying playing careers at Fc Porto, Saint-Etienne, and Boca Juniours. He made 141 appearances for the Italian giants after 4 years spell with the club. In 2016, he was sold to Chinese outfit Shanghai Shenhua.

He spent three years in v=china and returned to South America where he signed with Vasco de Gama, a Brazilian outfit. His stint with the Brazilian side however ended after just a year and returned to his home country to sign for Millonarios in January.
