Former Dutch player Wesley Sneijder delivers his prediction on Tyrell Malacia

Wesley Sneijder, a legendary player for the Netherlands in the past, believes that Tyrell Malacia possesses the skills necessary to start for the Dutch national team in the 2022 World Cup.

Under Erik ten Hag’s tutelage, the  Manchester United left defender has been playing at an excellent level.

The Red Devils needed a top-tier player to end their losing streak because that particular defensive position has historically been a weak point for the team.

The former Feyenoord defender was very close to signing with Marseille, but the transfer was blocked at the eleventh hour by another club.

The manager must be relieved that he did not pass up the opportunity to sign the 23-year-old, especially considering that he has been benching Luke Shaw for the past few matches.

Malacia is projected to start the majority of games for United, as Ten Hag has finally found his best defensive players, and it is likely that United will win the most of those games.

Sneijder, who helped the Netherlands qualify for The World cup in 2010, thinks that the Dutch ace should be given a position in the forthcoming World Cup competition as a reward for his recent strong play.

As reported by the Manchester Evening News, he said:

“I choose Malacia in my team because he comes up high and is much higher. Then you get more into a 3-5-2 and I like that.”

United has not been defeated in their past four league contests and is expected to play well against Manchester City in their upcoming derby.
